What this AI rewriter does
When you rewrite AI text, swapping words for synonyms isn't enough. LumenWrite is built to humanize AI text: it changes sentence length and structure, cuts filler and stock transitions, and trades formal words for plain ones. Your points, your facts and their order stay where they were.

AI rewriter or AI paraphraser: what's the difference
Paraphrasing tools and rewriters overlap, but they aim at different results. A paraphraser mostly says the same sentence in other words. A rewriter like this one also changes how the text moves: where sentences break, how long they run, which words carry the point.

That last difference matters most for AI drafts. What makes them sound machine-made is less the individual words than the pattern: every sentence about the same length, the same "Moreover" and "Additionally", a tidy summary at the end. A rewrite has to break that pattern.
What it's good for, and what it won't do
A rewriter is the right tool for some jobs and the wrong one for others. Here is where LumenWrite fits:
- Good for: turning an AI draft into text that reads naturally, rewording your own stiff writing, rewriting single sentences or paragraphs, and keeping technical terms, numbers and citations like (Smith, 2020) exactly as they are.
- Not built for: switching tone on demand (formal, casual, persuasive), shortening or summarizing, expanding a text, or translating. It rewrites English only.
Rewriting someone else's article doesn't make it yours. If a source gave you the idea or the words, cite it.

How to rewrite AI text in three steps
- Paste your text. Up to 200 words of English: an AI draft, a paragraph you wrote, or one sentence. For a long text, start with the part that sounds most like AI.
- Rewrite it. Press Humanize. Here rewriting and humanizing are the same job: the rewrite aims for natural writing, not just different words.
- Check the result. Paste it into the free AI detector, which marks each sentence as reading human or AI. If one or two sentences still read like AI, fix those by hand or rewrite just them.

Rewrite one sentence or a whole text
An AI sentence rewriter is handy when only part of a text is the problem. Paste just the sentence or paragraph you want changed and leave the rest as it is. Short inputs work, and you keep full control of the parts you're happy with.
For longer texts, a free account rewrites up to 1,000 words at a time, 10 times a day. It also lets you pick a mode (Stealth, Balanced or Natural), set the strength from 1 to 10, freeze terms that must not change, and find past rewrites in your history.
